……..My friends and I started planning a trip to Rio last year and since the trip s inception David and his team have been an absolute delight to work with. David was extremely accommodating with our schedules, check-in/check-out, specific requests, etc. The space was perfect for our group of 8, but could have easily accommodated more people. The location was in the heart of Copacabana, very close to everything we needed. Fell in love with some of the restaurants and stores nearby.
……..Max, the property manager, was instrumental in making sure our stay went without blemish. He organized guided excursions, even brought an in-house money exchanger! I d be remiss if I didn t mention the AMAZING housekeeper; I don t know how she did it! She manicured the place to perfection every morning. Bit of advice for first timers… learn the language. A little bit can go a long way Overall, a perfect first time Rio experience. Thanks David, Max & Team!

……..The penthouse can be divided depending on your needs. It is decorated as a private home with collections of art and lovely furniture. The kitchens are stock with basic utensils for cooking.
……..We were there to celebrate a family wedding plenty of room and tables to have a wonderful family dinner. Grocery store very close. Market on Sunday in park 2 blocks away is a good source for fresh fruits, vegetables and fish. Busses stops are all within a few blocks they run on regular schedules but beware of drivers a little reckless. Have 3R ready. Metro is a few blocks clean and easy to use but limited on where it can take you.
……..The manager is a great resource she can recommend many ideas and arrange transportation. We enjoy a trip to petropolis to see Bohemia brewery and imperial palace. David Parker was the best landlord I have ever rented from very attentive eager to help with whatever plans you have. After planning this trip for a year ahead and talking with him I felt I was visiting a friend.

……..We travelled with a group of 17 people to Brazil for a wedding. The second part of our trip was a stay in Rio for a week. Upon arriving to the building we were greeted by a helpful Max. He took care of bringing up our luggage while we took in the views from the beautiful penthouse.
……..Being only three blocks from Copacabana beach we were able to see the water on one side and all the beautiful mountains on the other side. The penthouse was clean and had, what seemed to be, rooms upon rooms. Because we were such a large group we had access to both penthouses.
……..To sum them up in 3 words: unique, charming and inviting. As for the outdoor space…amazing! With 3 large terraces we were never on top of each other. All our meals were eaten outside. The outdoor space alone is reason enough to rent the penthouse. Now for the important part, the staff. The staff at the penthouse were amazing. We felt taken care of completely. Lena always made sure everything was clean and put away. She was even on hand to make us a traditional Brazilian dinner one night! We loved having her around! Max is a knowledgable, friendly, English speaking manager, which made booking tours through him easy. We would mention something we wanted to do and he would arrange a bus (for the whole group) to take us where we wanted to go. He was always in the building and very easy to get a hold of if we had a question.
……..To be in such a big city we really lucked out with the coral penthouse and everyone that was there to help us out on our first trip to Brazil! We would definitely return to The Coral Penthouse!

……..I am writing this while it is fresh in my mind about how wonderful our family week in Rio was at The Coral Penthouse. The service was wonderful, we were personally met by the owner and checked out by the manager.
……..The maid service was a lovely touch and it was like coming back to a 5 star hotel after a day out. It is very close to the Copacabana beach and in a central position to access all other areas of Rio. The decor of the apartment is just wonderful and I felt very relaxed here.
……..I would defiantly recommend this apartment to others as a special place to stay in Rio. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable.

……..Our stay here was amazing. We were a party of 11 (2 families with teenagers) and Max and the staff could not have been more helpful. Max arranged a couple great outings for us and lined us up with some great guides. He arranged a fantastic soccer game with great seats for all of us, set up a flavela tour that was very interesting and he also set up a hang gliding expedition.
……..The location of the apartment was convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and the beach and the views from the several outdoor spaces were amazing. The owner has provided all types of guide books and power converters so there is no need to worry about any of those items. The housekeeping service was great. The only issue that could be a problem is that after taking the elevator up 10 floors you need to walk up a floor of stairs so if mobility is an issue this might not be the apartment for you. Other than that it was a fantastic place to go with friends and enjoy all that Rio has to offer.

……..Our stay at the Coral Penthouse was outstanding! Max (the property manager) was very helpful in arranging transfers from the airport.
……..The pictures shown do not do the property any justice. It is a beautiful penthouse, with plenty of room for our group on 10.There is a doorperson ensuring safety at all times. This property is less than 10 minutes away from the beach. Overall, we were all very pleased with our stay at the Coral Penthouse! HIGHLY recommended!

……..We were a group of 8, all couples and had an amazing time. The penthouse is in the perfect location to grab the subway or bus, a short walk to Copacabana Beach (a little over a block) with great food and shopping along the way. It is nice to have a place to cook and relax after a long day (or night) of sightseeing. Very safe and the staff went out of their way to help us with our plans, transportation to and from the airport, and were always making sure we had everything we needed!
……..It is also great to have a cleaning lady. This is very unusual when you rent a place to stay and I didn t even realize we did until we got there! The beds were very comfortable to after a long day!
……..We rented the 3 bedroom plus the library and it was perfect for our group.
……..It is right in the heart of Copacabana. A sort walk to Copacabana Beach and a little further to Ipanema. We were able to grab the bus right outside to the Arboretum We hopped the Subway at the end of the block to Santa Therese and the business district for shopping. We walked a block to the dance studio for our Samba Lessons and later we grabbed a cab at the corner to take us to Rio Scenarium to practice our moves!
……..We would definitely stay again the next time we go to Rio and will recommend to anyone who wishes to visit Rio and all of its culture and beauty!!!

……..Our guests had an outstanding stay at the Coral Penthouse. Everyone was comfortable and the location is good. If you have a large group, this is by far a way better option than staying in a hotel. Each room has its own cute theme and the terrace is perfect to have breakfast or drink your morning coffee looking out onto the mountains.
……..It is close to the beach so in just a few minutes you are at the beach. Also, I would say that a huge plus with this place besides its good value for money is that the owners/operators of the apartments are super helpful.
……..We had a large group and in particular, the Manager, was always extremely helpful. Unfortunately my son got sick and we had to take him to the ER. During this time, the Manager was on call for any help with our guests and overall just delightful to work with. There are not many options on Airbnb that can accommodate such a large group and this is definitely a place I would recommend.

……..The patio spaces with beautiful flowers, palms and lots of seating options in sun or shade make the coral penthouse the perfect escape. Everything in Rio is at your doorstep - Michelin starred restaurant and others as good or better, groceries, banking, smoothie shop, metro, taxis, oh, and the beaches! Our adult children each had a bedroom on the main floor, one of which opened onto the large patio and would have been lovely as the master if my husband or I had been unable to use the small, metal, spiral staircase to the upper level. But upstairs we had a largish bedroom with private bath and multiple patios, where we could leave all doors and windows open and get wonderful breezes all night.
……..It was never too hot during our stay but our bedrooms and the living space had air conditioning and ceiling fans. While we always felt safe in Rio, especially in the neighborhood of the penthouse as it always seemed populated and busy, we had had some concerns when planning our vacation.
……..The desk is manned 24/7 and you have to be buzzed into the building at night. The penthouse requires a short flight of stairs after the elevator, and the only ones who use them are affiliated with the penthouse. We chose it because it seemed very safe, and it is. While David and Max shouldn t get all the credit for the perfect weather, they did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and care free.
……..From our erratic check-in times to cleaning, including laundry, done when and if desired, and being happy to hold luggage after checkout until we wanted to head to the airport (we would not have had to check out at all until time for our flights, but of course someone else was waiting in the wings to enjoy our paradise). We totally enjoyed our Rio Vacation, in large part because of our stay at the Coral Penthouse.

……..It gives me extreme pleasure to be able to write this review. It is the least that I can do to thank the owner David, and his staff for a spectacular stay. I rented out both sides of this home for some VIP clients, my parents and their friends. One of the best things I had planned for their stay. I service began from my first contact with David. Every email I wrote with questions, was responded to that same day, and made me feel comfortable from the start. Since I live in Rio, I asked to visit the apartment, as to sometimes in Rio you don t get what the photo shows. How happy I was to see that the quality of the apartment was exactly what I saw.
……..The apartment is extremely well kept, from the paint, to the exotic artwork, the first class bathrooms, and even the items in the kitchen. They seem to have thought of everything that would be needed. We were given VIP service from the start. Remember, we were a group of 12, so had a lot of luggage. The staff was there to take our bags upstairs, as if we were in a hotel. There was even daily maid service. I always had access to assistance, at whatever time. I myself was lucky enough to catch the owner while he was in Rio, and he made it a point to greet my family personally. What a difference it makes when you rent a quality home, from quality people. Looking forward to the next time of renting it again. Thank you David and staff!!

……..I own a travel company and regularly stay in privately owned condos in Rio and around the world. I can honestly say that this was by far the most beautiful place and best experience that I have had. David, the owner, and his team are thoughtful, responsive and gracious.
……..My team and I were working in Rio on a large event and lived here for three weeks. Our stay began with freshly baked Brazilian cheese bread and a basket of snacks. David and the Manager answered all of our questions about virtually everything. One morning our hot water was not working, but they fixed it immediately.
……..The decks are fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed them for socializing, relaxing and even working. There is an A/C unit in every room that cools the place in minutes. Each bedroom had its own character with comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils and so forth and we cooked a number of meals there. Grocery stores are found on every block.
……..I highly recommend this property to friends, family and anyone wanting a better experience than a hotel can offer. Our group of seven saved thousands of dollars by staying here and not in a hotel, and the service was better, more personal and friendlier. I am so glad I found this property on HomeAway.com.

……..This is truly an amazing place! The location is great-3 blocks from the beach, multiple grocery stores within 2 blocks, and lots and lots of shops of all kinds close by. And equally great is the hostess, Paula. We were traveling with our young daughter (not quite 2 years old) and she let us use her own personal set of spare keys for our week here! ……..The Coral Penthouse was an incredible complement to the city of Rio! It was an easy distance to amazing open air, fresh fruits, fish and veggie outside market, shopping, beach, and a 24 hour juice bar! This is a gorgeous home away from home, fully stocked kitchen without the hassle of clean-up! A visually stimulating, soft, clean, cool place to recharge for the endless adventures Rio has to offer. There is a sense of privacy and community. We would do this vacation the same way over and over and over again! The staff is thoughtful, accommodating, attentive and friendly. LOVED IT!

……..I was in Rio for work and I was looking for a penthouse large enough to accommodate our crew but had little lack finding one. When I was about to give up and resort to a hotel stay, David s house fell into my lap. I must say it was a blessing in disguise.
……..This penthouse had everything that I was looking for: style, cleanness, functionality and comfort. It s rare to find such a 5 star service in Brazil and you can tell David, the owner, had put lot of care and thought into making the guest feel as comfortable as possible. I can t wait to go back and stay there for leisure next time around!
